Lamborghini has already revealed the Temerario, their newest model known as project 634, that will succeed the Huracán. We have seen supercars before, but it is what is under the hood that should excite all sorts of car enthusiasts.
Lamborghini has said this hybrid super sports car will feature a revolutionary twin-turbo V8 engine, developed from scratch at their Sant'Agata Bolognese facility. This innovative 4.0-liter engine combines the linear performance characteristics of Lamborghini's renowned V10 with the enhanced power of modern turbocharging.
And the specs are remarkable: it produces 197 horsepower per liter, reaching a total output of 789 horsepower at 9,000-9,750 rpm, with a maximum engine speed of 10,000 rpm. To add to this, the engine generates peak torque of 538 lb-ft between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm.
These are performance metrics we typically see only in racing engines.
Adding to its capabilities is a specially designed rear electric system positioned between the main engine and dual-clutch transmission. This electric unit includes an inverter and an axial electric unit and produces 148 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm.
Despite such a powerful electric system output, the system maintains a compact and lightweight design. With what we have seen from Lamborghini in the past, I am sure the integration of the electric and combustion systems will create a unique driving experience among road-legal super sports cars for anyone who drives or owns it.
With numbers like these, I cannot wait to see what people will say about the car after a test drive once it is out in 2025!
