The Lamborghini Huracán, along with its iconic V-10 engine, has been retired. But Lamborghini enthusiasts need not worry—a new supercar is stepping into the spotlight: introducing the Lamborghini Temerario.

This new model, classified as a High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV), comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine paired with three electric motors. Together, they generate an impressive 920 horsepower. The Temerario can sprint from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 2.7 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 211 miles per hour.

Lamborghini has developed the V-8 engine specifically for this car, featuring a 90-degree "Hot V" layout and a flat-plane crankshaft. The engine is equipped with two turbochargers, each operating at a maximum pressure of 36 psi. Lightweight materials, such as cast aluminum alloy cylinder heads and titanium connecting rods, help reduce the engine's weight. The valvetrain includes Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coated finger followers, enabling the engine to rev up to 10,000 rpm.

The car also incorporates three oil-cooled electric motors. One motor is positioned between the engine and the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission at the rear. This rear motor delivers up to 150 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. The other two motors are located at the front, driving the front wheels and each providing 82 horsepower. This configuration makes the Temerario an all-wheel-drive vehicle. Additionally, the car includes a "Drift Mode" that can vary the torque delivered to the rear wheels, adding an element of fun for drivers. The car also features a launch control system.

The battery has a capacity of 3.8 kilowatt hours and can be recharged in 30 minutes using a standard AC charging port with up to 7 kilowatts of power. Alternatively, the battery can be recharged through regenerative braking or by the V-8 engine in as little as 6 minutes. While it's possible to drive using only the front electric motors, Lamborghini hasn't disclosed the exact electric-only driving range for the Temerario.

The exterior design of the Temerario is a blend of the larger Revuelto and the Huracán it replaces. The headlights are slimmer than those of the Huracán, and hexagonal LED running lights sit just below them on the front bumper. The car rides on staggered 20- and 21-inch wheels, available in forged or carbon-fiber options.

In terms of aerodynamics, the Temerario isn’t as sleek as the Huracán. It features a larger aerodynamic vent near the rear wheels, which boosts downforce by 103% compared to the Huracán Evo.

Lamborghini is also offering an Alleggerita lightweight package at launch. This package includes a larger rear wing, unique bumper designs, and carbon-fiber rims, increasing downforce by 158% compared to the Huracán Evo while reducing the car's weight by 55 pounds. An optional Carbon Pack can shave off an additional 4 pounds by using carbon fiber for the rear diffuser, mirror caps, and side air intakes.

The car’s chassis is made entirely of aluminum, marking a shift from the Huracán’s mixed aluminum and carbon-fiber structure. This new design results in a 50% reduction in material
